  • Overview

    The General Ledger Accountant is an integral role within the Accounting Department, responsible for accounting activities necessary to produce accurate and timely financial statements and analysis. 


    • Maintain integrity and accuracy of the General Ledger
    • Prepare non-recurring and recurring general ledger entries
    • Reconcile general ledger and sub-ledgers accounts
    • Manage fixed assets ledger
    • Provide regular financial analysis and insights
    • Assist with system conversion and data migration project
    • Assist and assess implementation of internal controls
    • Assist in month end close and financial statement preparation
    • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by management


    • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
    • Ability to collaborate and work as a team within the department, as well as outside the department
    • Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Microsoft Office
    • Prior experience with Oracle and/or ERP system is desired
    • Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality
    • Strong attention to details and accuracy
    • Able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
    • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or relevant accounting experience
    • 3-5 years experience in a full cycle accounting
