    Position Overview: The Sales Development Associate is responsible for creating, implementing, and managing strategic initiatives to improve Precoa’s sales performances. The SDA partners with our outside sales team, providing them with information, content, and tools to enhance their sales skills. This position serves as a bridge between the Portland headquarters and national sales team, enhancing communication and understanding between the two, which will enable our sales team to better connect with customers and be more effective in the sales process.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Utilizes research methods to fully understand identified problems or opportunities, and effectively facilitates departmental experts to create solutions
    • Leads cross-functional teams in projects focused on improving close rates, average funeral value, persistency, and sales force satisfaction
    • Drives and coordinates field testing and implementation of new leads, training, and incentive programs related to sales personnel
    • Provides insight from a sales perspective on all relevant company prototypes
    • Acts as a liaison between field and Portland office
    • Additional duties as assigned

    • Ability to use different medias to inform audiences
    • Utilizes creative problem-solving techniques
    • Self-motivated to learn new skills and technologies that can be used to better connect with our sales force
    • Ability to connect with various personalities
    • Technically savvy – video editing experience a plus

    Education and/or Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree required – Marketing, Broadcast Journalism, or Communications preferred
    • 1-3 years of experience in a similar role
