Overview

The Senior Accountant is an integral role esponsible for accounting activities necessary to produce accurate and timely financial statements and analysis. With the growth that our company is experiencing, the person in this position will need to be friendly, confident, supportive, follow directions well and ask good questions to better understand how to help the department produce a quality product,  innovate, meet deadlines and serve the Precoa community.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the general ledger
  • Manage the Close process
  • Balance Sheet account reconciliations
  • Prepare routine and non-routine journal entries
  • Assist with the development, documentation, and implementation of accounting procedures
  • Provide accounting support by reviewing financial information; converting data to general ledger system; and obtaining supplementary information for preparing financial statements
  • Provide regular financial analysis and insights
  • Variance Analysis
  • Cash Analysis
  • Additional duties as assigned

  • Intermediate to advanced skillset in MS Excel
  • Period End Closing management
  • Thorough General Ledger experience
  • Working knowledge of accounting software
  • Ability to research important Accounting topics
  • Some training/mentoring experience
  • Focus on deadlines and project completion

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance (with appropriate Accounting experience)
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a similar role
  • Prior experience with ERP systems (Oracle Fusion would be a definite plus)
